InsiderBeacon vs AlphaYou

AlphaYou gathers insiders, Congress, the White House, funds and finance influencers in one research hub, with Hyperliquid trading built in. InsiderBeacon does fewer things and is built around the alert. Here is where each one fits.

A disclosure first. We make InsiderBeacon, one of the tools below. We have tried to describe every tool fairly, including where the others do more than we do, and to show each price as its maker lists it. Prices are as the vendors listed them in October 2026; check their pages before you buy.

In short

The same kind of price, a different shape. AlphaYou is a wide research hub: Form 4s, Congress and the White House, the 13F holdings of 124 funds, government contracts and finance influencers, and you can trade on Hyperliquid from its site for a fee. InsiderBeacon covers most of the same filings (Congress, the White House, 50+ funds' 13Fs, federal contracts) and is built around the alert: each insider filing within about a minute, the Form 144 notice before the sale is reported, a score on every buy, and the exit on anything you copied. It never places a trade or holds money.

Where AlphaYou does more

AlphaYou tracks more funds (124 against our 50-odd) and adds posts by finance influencers, price and analyst alerts, and an assistant you can ask about a stock; InsiderBeacon reads filings only, so every row links to a public record. AlphaYou also lets you trade on Hyperliquid from its own site, which InsiderBeacon never does. And its paid plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee on the first charge, which ours don't (our refund policy has the details).

What people say about this kind of tool, and what we did about it

“By the time you find out, the move has already happened.”

You hear about a sale before it's reported.

The insider's notice, the minute the SEC accepts it, typically 34 hours before the sale is on the record. Buys about a minute after the filing lands. Congress reports minutes after they're posted, with how late each one was.

“Massive amounts of noise. I quit after a week.”

A score, a minimum, a daily limit, quiet hours.

Every buy is scored out of 100 from what the filing says. Set a minimum size, bundle the small ones, cap the day, sleep at night. The first word of every alert says what it is: Buy, Sell, Long, Short.

“$1M is normal for a huge company and huge for a small one; the scanner uses flat numbers.”

Sized against what they already own.

The score weighs a buy against the insider's existing stake and the company's size, so a director doubling a small holding ranks above a routine top-up at a giant.

“My notifications stopped and every setting looked on.”

It tells you when a channel stops working.

The Alerts screen shows when each channel last delivered and whether it's failing, with a test button beside it. If every channel you use fails for three days, you get an email saying so.

The one claim we measure

The head start is not a slogan. Every Form 144 notice is matched to the Form 4 that reported the sale and the gap between the SEC's two acceptance times is kept, pair by pair, both filings linked. The median, the share that arrived first and every pair are on the study page, live, and the numbers for your own stocks are a paste away on the portfolio check.

Which should you use?

  • You want influencers and 124 funds alongside the filings: AlphaYou.
  • You hold stocks and want the planned-sale notice before the sale is reported, and every alert within about a minute: InsiderBeacon.
  • You copy Hyperliquid traders: AlphaYou if you want the orders placed through its site, for a fee; InsiderBeacon if you'd rather be told and place them yourself.

Questions

Does AlphaYou alert on Form 144 notices?

Not as far as its pages say, as of this writing: its insider tracker and its list of sources describe Form 4 filings, which report a sale after it happens. The Form 144 notice an insider files before selling restricted or control shares lands on EDGAR first. That gap is the head start, measured pair by pair on our study page.

The prices are close. What's the real difference?

Breadth against the alert. AlphaYou lists Pro at $29 a month or $199 a year; InsiderBeacon's Pro will be $29 a month or $240 a year, and every Pro feature is free during early access. Both cover Congress, the White House, funds and contracts; AlphaYou adds influencers and more funds, InsiderBeacon adds the planned-sale notice before the sale, a score on every buy, alerts within about a minute on your phone, Telegram or Discord, and the exit on anything you copied.

Does either one place trades for me?

AlphaYou lets you trade and copy-trade on Hyperliquid from its site and charges a builder fee on those orders, as its fees page describes. InsiderBeacon never connects to a broker or a Hyperliquid account, never holds money and never places an order: you place the trade yourself, and the app watches for the exit.
